If your school district is like mine, the network blocks access to YouTube, or other video sites. At school, I'm not able to link to it, etc. The only way I'm able to view some very worthwhile videos on YouTube, or even TeacherTube (http://www.teachertube.com), an online site specifically for parents, students and educators, is to download them ahead of time.

To do this, someone in my Summer course introduced us to KeepVid, a website that is awesome and allows you to download almost ANY video! All you have to do is put in the hyperlink, and then click "Save as mp4."

The website: http://www.keepvid.com

Just copy the web address of the video you'd like to download. Paste it in the top "blue" bar, and click "download."
When it brings you to the next page, scroll down a little, and in the Green Box, where it says "Download Links," choose mp4. The only downfall to this website is that it has many tricky advertiser links, so make sure you follow the steps I told you, and not go clicking on random buttons on the web page, or else it might bring you to an advertisement.

From there, you can either save them to a flash drive to bring into school, or save it directly to your school laptop when you're at home.

Enjoy and happy YouTubing!
